SACLP would like to recognize and congratulate current and previous student scholarship recipients.
Aubrey Diefenthal: Spring 2025
"Being selected as a recipient of this scholarship has been an invaluable opportunity that has profoundly impacted my journey. It has alleviated significant financial barriers, allowing me to devote myself fully to my internship experience as I seek to meet patients and families where they are. This support enables me to focus more intentionally on cultivating individualized supports that not only assist patients and families during hospitalization but address their needs post-discharge. I am deeply grateful to the SACLP for their dedication to supporting students on their child life journey. This scholarship has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally, and I am overjoyed to continue my path toward becoming a certified child life specialist!"
Alexa Jensen: Summer 2024
“ Receiving this scholarship has significantly impacted my journey towards becoming a child life professional. Beyond the financial support, it has validated my dedication to this field, boosting my confidence and reaffirming my passion for supporting children and families during challenging times. The recognition also provides me with opportunities for networking, mentorship, and professional development, all of which are crucial for my growth and success in this rewarding but demanding profession. I’m beyond grateful to be a recipient of this award and look forward to leveraging all the resources and support this scholarship has to offer to reach my fullest potential!”
